Switzerland, Ghana to Meet Friendly in Preparation for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

Berne, August 22 (QNA) - Switzerland and Ghana will meet in an international friendly match in the UAE in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. The Swiss Football Association said in a statement that its first team will meet friendly with its Ghanaian counterpart in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 17, one week before the two teams play their first match at the World Cup, scheduled to start on Nov. 20. The Swiss national team will start its matches at the World Cup on Nov. 24 against Cameroon in Group G, which also includes Brazil and Serbia. On the other hand, the Ghanaian national team will start the World Cup competitions on the same day by meeting its Portuguese counterpart in Group H, which also includes the national teams of Uruguay and South Korea.
