Table Tennis: Second Day of WTT Middle-East Hub Sees Strong Competition

Doha, March 02 (QNA) - The World Table Tennis (WTT) its Middle-East Hub event organized by the Qatari association for the sport with the WTT at Lusail. The competition will conclude on March 13, with a host of the world's best players taking part. The competition is held in a medical bubble, as part of the health precautions taken to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Today saw the second round of qualifiers for both men and women. President of the Qatar and Arab Table Tennis Federations and the deputy president of the international and Asian federations Khalil Al Mohannadi said that the praise of Qatar's organization of the event was a source of pride, especially that it was held in extraordinary circumstances. He added that it was thanks to the state that such an organization of a massive sporting event was possible. He said that the weather was currently very good, and cited that the players were all very happy to take part in the competition, stressing that the organizers continue to work hard to ensure the competition continues to run smoothly.
