Twelve Players From the Qatari Team Qualify for Final Rounds of HH Amir's Bowling Cup

Doha, July 07 (QNA) - Twelve players from the Qatari team qualified for the round of 26 in the HH the Amir's Bowling Cup, which is organized by the Qatar Game Association for the seventh consecutive day at the Qatar Bowling Center, and concludes on Friday, and is due to witness the participation of the most prominent ranked players in the world.
The competitions of the first stage of the final rounds concluded today and witnessed great brilliance from the Qatari players, to qualify for the finals, including Yousef Al-Jaber, the leader in the general ranking so far, Ahmed Al Ruwaili, Jassem Al Muraikhi, Badr Al Sada, Jassem Al Diab, Khaled Al Emadi, Mansour Al Hajri, Ahmed Al Diab, Jamal Al Sahouti, Nasser Al Sahouti and Hamad Al Zawqri, and Muhammad Al Muraikhi.
Also among the most prominent qualifiers for the next round in the tournament are Finland's Thomas Kaihako, Thailand's Soparket Wentsek, Saudi's Ahmed Abu Al Rish and his compatriot Adel Al Barqi, Filipino Marky Dilkarmin, and Thailand's Anup Ronsarn.
The organizing committee of the tournament allocated financial prizes totaling $102,000 , which will be distributed to the places from the first to the 48th place, where the first place holder will receive $20,000, while the runner-up will receive $12,000, and the third place will receive $6000.
Today, the first phase of the final rounds, which started with the participation of 40 players, was concluded, 20 of whom qualified to join the six players who led the overall standings at this stage to enter the round of 26.
On Friday, Jul. 8, 2022, the final rounds of the tournament will be held, starting with the round of 16, followed by the quarter-finals and semi-finals, and then the final match.
Chairman of the Technical Committee of HH the Emir’s Bowling Cup Abdullah Haroun hailed the technical level witnessed by the competitions since the first day, saying that the tournament in its current year is returning with strength, especially after stopping it in the past years due to COVID-19 pandemic, and that there are a number of large number of ranked players in the world.
