Vietnamese cadets win gold, bronze in Philippines

Hanoi, May 26 (VNA) – Nguyen Thi Quynh pocketed a gold medal at the SEA Pacific Fencing Championship in Pasig City, the Philippines. Quynh successfully topped the cadet girls’ sabre event, beating Drew Celso of the host country 15-13 in the final. Her teammate Phung Thi Khanh Linh shared third place with Mohd Rais Pang Nadira Pang of Brunei. The tournament will conclude on May 31.
