Walid Majed Wins Fifth Qatar Ranking Nine-Ball Championship

Doha, October 21 (QNA) - Walid Majed won the fifth Qatar Ranking Nine-Ball Championship, which was organized by the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation, with the participation of 20 local players, to determine who will represent the team in international and continental tournaments this season. Walid defeated Meshaal Turki (11-4) in the final match. According to the results of the players in the five classification sessions, the trio Walid Majid, Bashar Hussein and Ali Al Marri were chosen to represent the Qatar billiard team in the Arab and West Asian championships, scheduled in the UAE, which starts on Nov. 03 and continues two weeks. Also, Qatar snooker team players are currently preparing for the five-day fifth ranking tournament, which starts on Saturday evening to determine Qatar snooker team, which will also participate in the Arab and West Asian championships.
