Yemen Olympic Team to Face Philippine Counterpart in Doha Camp Today

Doha, October 19 (QNA) - Yemen Olympic football team will play a test match against its Philippine counterpart, Tuesday, in its camp in Doha in preparation for the Asian U-23 finals, within the first group that includes Qatar, Syria and Sri Lanka. The Yemeni technical staff, led by Amin Al Sunini, is seeking to correct the mistakes of the previous friendly confrontation against Palestine in Saudi Arabia. The team participated in a training session on Sunday at Qatar University Stadium in Doha, after the results of the medical swab which confirmed that the Yemeni mission was free of any infection with the Corona virus (Covid-19). The 23 players of this team made great efforts, looking to reserve a place for them in the starting lineup before entering the official competitions. (QNA)
