Future Prospects of Broadband Technologies Forum to Start Next Sunday

Doha , December 05 (QNA) -HE Minister of Communication and Information Technology Dr. Hessa Sultan Al Jaber will open on Sunday at Four Seasons Hotel the Future Prospects of Broadband Technologies Forum which will be held by the Minister of Communication and Information Technology to detect features of the National Plan for Broadband in Qatar. More than 400 officials including decision-makers and stakeholders from key sectors , local or regional and international experts and more than 20 speakers will take part in the forum to discuss the importance and benefits of broadband technologies as well as ways to deploy a high speed broadband network , formulate a framework to support the widespread Broadband from various sectors as well as building developed infrastructure in accordance with the best international standards and superior speeds and reasonable prices. A number of global and regional experts in the field of broadband technologies ,including Mr. Blair Levin, Former Executive Director, Broadband Initiative at the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, and Richard Adler, member of Institute for the Future, Palo Alto, California will also participate in the event and deliver lectures .(QNA)
