Tehran To Host 1st Intl. Quality Engineering Conference

Tehran, Oct 7, IRNA – The First International Quality Engineering Conference will be held at Tehran's Olympic Hotel from December 3-4. Secretary of the Conference Rassoul Noorolsana said the conference would be held with an aim of supporting national production and Iranian labor and capital. He said without improving the quality of products and services, support for national production would not be possible. He added that consumers will turn to foreign products and services if quality of domestic ones is not improved. Topics of the conference include statistical process control, design of experiments, sampling, reliability, quality mining, simulation and modeling, and new methods of solving problems, clean service and manufacturing, measurement and calibration, measurement methods and inspection of product, final cost reduction and so on. Quality Engineering analyses all phases of production system in order to improve the quality of production process and products. Hence, any changes in process and product should be done in consultation with a quality engineer. The conference is of importance given the fact that the quality improvement of domestic products can have direct impact on production cost reduction, cost price reduction and survival of organizations. Importance of the issue has been frequently mentioned by scientists and experts.
