Trabzonspor's executive and administrative manager released in Turkey's match-fixing scandal

ISTANBUL (A.A) - July 13, 2011 - Trabzonspor Football Club's executive Recep Denizer and administrative manager Caner Cuvalcioglu were released on Wednesday after they were recently detained under a match-fixing investigation in Turkey.
An Istanbul court has already put Fenerbahce Chairman Aziz Yildirim behind bars pending trial along with 25 others.
On Monday, the President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), Mehmet Ali Aydinlar, said after a board meeting that the topflight Spor Toto Super League would continue as planned and that the TFF's investigation on possible match-fixing would take place only after formal criminal charges were filed by the prosecutor's office.
"The league will continue as planned. We have informed the UEFA about the Spor Toto Super League as it has been recorded at the end of last season," Aydinlar said, adding TFF had no evidence or documents proving the allegations.
