AirAsia To Launch Campaign To Promote KLIA2 As LCCT2

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 (Bernama) -- AirAsia, the Malaysian low-cost airline will launch a campaign to promote the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2(klia2) as the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal 2 (LCCT2), reinforcing Kuala Lumpur's position as the leading low-cost gateway to Asia and beyond. Group Chief Executive Officer Tony Fernandes said the budget airline wanted the world to know that best value fares were here. "To me, klia2 doesn't mean anything. LCCT2, on the other hand, is synonymous with low-cost. "It is a brand that we built up together with Malaysia Airports and it shouldn't go to waste," he said in a statement Monday. Currently, AirAsia operates over 220 flights daily to and from Kuala Lumpur, connecting its guests to over 100 destinations in 24 countries. --BERNAMA
