Brunei's Pengiran Anak Isteri Visits Permata Pintar Negara Centre

BANGI (Selangor, Malaysia), Nov 12 (Bernama) -- Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah Salleh of Brunei Darussalam on Tuesday visited the Permata Pintar Negara Centre (Centre for Talented Youth) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), here. The consort of the Brunei Crown Prince was accompanied by son, Pengiran Muda 'Abdul Muntaqim, the wife of Brunei High Commissioner to Malaysia, Mastura Awang, and the wife of Malaysia's Defence Minister, Tengku Marsilla Tengku Abdullah. UKM deputy vice-chancellor (Academic and International Affairs) Prof Dr Noor Azlan Ghazali, in his speech, expressed hope that the visit by Pengiran Anak Isteri, would open opportunities for cooperation between Malaysia and Brunei in smart education. "This cooperation can be worked out in the students and academic staff mobility programme, research, publication and many more," she added. During the visit, Pengiran Anak Isteri was briefed on the Permata Pintar programme, which is under the patronage of the prime minister's wife, Rosmah Mansor, by the deputy director of the Permata Pintar Negara Centre, Assoc Prof Dr Melor Md Yunus. Pengiran Anak Isteri is here accompanying her husband, Pengiran Muda Mahkota Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, who is on a five-day official visit to Malaysia. The visit is aimed at strengthening relations between Brunei and Malaysia as well as enhancing cooperation in the defence and economic sectors. -- BERNAMA
