Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan organize joint urban warfare exercise
ISTANBUL (A.A) - 25.03.2011 - Turkish, Afghan and Pakistani armed forces held a joint urban warfare maneuver in Istanbul.
The military exercise aimed at boosting friendship, cooperation and confidence among infantry units of Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan had agreed to conduct the maneuver during a tripartite summit meeting on December 24, 2010 in Istanbul. 49 Turkish, 40 Afghan and 30 Pakistani infantry troops attended the operation.
The military exercise has taken place in Infantry Brigade School Command in Tuzla district in Istanbul.
