ELECTRONIC TAGGING TO HUSBAND BEATING HIS WIFE
Turkey's Family & Social Policies Minister Fatma Sahin said men who use violence against women will not be allowed to come near their spouses and will be tracked with electronic tagging devices. "With the new system, both men and women will be carrying electronic bracelets. If the man approaches the woman closer than 200-300 meters the devices will transmit signals to the police," Sahin said. The minister also noted that the new regulation will be the first law to be enacted right after the opening of the parliament in October.
