ELECTRONIC MONITORING TO VIOLENCE EVEN IN FLIRTATION
Turkey's family and social policies minister Fatma Sahin presented a draft to the parliament aiming at preventing violence against women. According to the draft, the man resorting to violence not only to his wife but even to his girl friend will be tracked with electronic tagging devices. Verbal harassment will also be considered as violence and any complaint will be enough.

THERE IS NO CYPRUS, ACCEPT THIS
Recep Tayyip Erdogan paid his first formal visit to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as the prime minister of the 61st government. Erdogan addressed people at the airport. "We will not allow anybody to launch operation on this territory. We are from now on in a different process. Nobody can impose plans on Cyprus acting on their own account. 
Erdogan reacted strongly against the stance of Europe and the United States that recognized Greek Cypriots as the Cyprus state. Erdogan said, "there is no state as Cyprus. There is Greek Cypriot side and TRNC. Everybody should accept this. Nobody can take any steps here unless a fair and comprehensive settlement envisaging the presence of two founding states is accepted."

ERDOGAN SAYS EUROPE DID NOT ACT HONESTLY
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Europe did not act honestly to Turkey. Erdogan said that if Greek Cypriot administration became the EU rotating president, Turkey would not sit at the negotiation table ever. Serdar Denktas, who assessed Erdogan's remarks regarding Cyprus, said, "he is speaking like my father (Rauf Denktas) does. They seem they understood that the party which assumes an uncompromising attitude in the island is Greek Cypriot administration."

ECONOMIC CRISIS CLOSE AT HAND
Bulent Gedikli from the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party said that there were dark clouds over the world economy. "Several countries will face bigger economic crisis. And of course this will make negative impacts on Turkey. That's why all citizens should be cautious."

APOLOGY OR GAZA
Turkey has unveiled its Gaza card in order to get an apology from Israel. The Turkish delegation at the United Nations said Israel should apologize to Turkey until July 27 or the Turkish prime minister would travel to Gaza. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan also hinted Turkey's upcoming move in his remarks before leaving for Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus yesterday. If an apology comes from the Israeli side, the blockade will not be broken.

ELECTRONIC TRACKING TO MEN
Escalating acts of domestic violence have urged the state to take action. According to a new regulation, men who use violence against their spouses will be tracked with electronic tagging devices and will not be permitted to come close to the abused women.

SUPER CUP POSTPONED
Turkish Football Federation said that the Super Cup game which was to be played between Fenerbahce and Besiktas football teams on July 31, 2011 had been postponed to a future date. The federation also said it would wait for the "evidence" to make a decision on the Turkish league. The list of Turkish teams heading for Europe has not changed.
