Turkey will continue its fight against terrorism with great determination, Erdogan says

ANKARA (A.A) - September 26, 2011 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Turkey would continue its fight against terrorism with great determination.
Erdogan held a press conference at Esenboga Airport in Ankara after his return from the United States on Sunday.
Replying to questions on joint steps to be taken with Iran in combating terrorism and terrorist attack in the southeastern province of Siirt, Erdogan said that Turkey and Iran were fighting against terrorist organization. "Relevant units will conduct works regarding joint operations to be carried out by Turkey and Iran," he said.
Erdogan said that he believed that the latest developments took place as cross-border operations yielded very important results, stating that operations will continue in country as well as cross border operations would take place. "There is no question of taking backward step or waiting. I clearly say that we fight against terrorism also with political will," he said.
Regarding his visit to the United States, Erdogan said that he held very fruitful talks with several officials including U.S. President Barack Obama and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
Erdogan said, "foreign minister and a delegation are continuing their talks in New York. They will keep holding talks till the end of the week."
Replying to a question, Erdogan said that a successful and fruitful period took place in relations between Turkey and the United States in the past two and a half years.
