Turkish deputy minister says proposes Iranian president to host next year's festival in Turkey
TEHRAN (A.A) - 27.03.2011 - Turkish State Minister and Deputy Premier Bulent Arinc on Sunday said he conveyed to the Iranian president a proposal to host next year's Nevruz Festival in Turkey.
"I have conveyed Turkey's offer to host the International Nevruz Festival next year in our country and President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad received our proposal well," Arinc told the Anadolu Agency in Tehran, where he attended the 2nd International Nevruz Festival at the Sadabad Palace.
Arinc said he had met with officials from Iraq, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan and Azerbaijan who also attended the festival.
Arinc said they would hold diplomatic talks with other countries later on hosting the international festival in Turkey.
