Commercial attaches to assess Thailand's export outlook

BANGKOK, September 6 (TNA) - The Ministry of Commerce will convene Thailand's commercial attaches worldwide from September 20-25 to assess the country's export outlook. Srirat Rastapana, Director-General of the ministry's Department of Internal Trade Promotion, told journalists on Friday that there will be first a discussion on the situation of Thai exports with industrialists and then the Commerce Ministry will convene the meeting with Thai commercial attaches stationed in overseas economies from September 20-25 to discuss the same issue. Srirat acknowledged that Thailand's export growth target of 7-7.5 per cent on average this year is considered a challenge for her ministry to achieve, but the ongoing depreciation of the Thai baht should boost national exports in the rest of this year by a certain extent.
