Export Of Gas Condensates From Pars Economic Zone Rise 48% In Past Four Months
Bushehr, Aug 4, IRNA – Export of gas condensates from Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) rose by 48 percent in the past four months of Iranian year (starting on March 21) compared to the same period last year, customs official said on Saturday.
The PSEEZ customs office director-general, Ahmad Pourheidar, said that the volume of exports shows a rise of 48 percent in terms of weight and 80 percent in terms of value.
He noted that in the first four months of the year, over 5,989,000 tons of goods, including light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensates, propane, butane, benzene, and praxylene, worth over rls 4.773 billion were exported, showing 19 percent increase in terms of weight and 9 percent growth in terms of value compared to the same period last year.
Pourheidar said the share of gas condensates from total exports is 55 percent in terms of weight and 61 percent in terms of value.
He said the exports were mainly destined to China, Japan, the UAE, India, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Turkey, Romania, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Afghanistan.
He aaded that furthermore, 67,818 tons of goods, worth more than $ 592.447 billion were imported via the PSEEZ Customs in the first four months of Iranian year. The goods mainly consisted refinery equipment and chemical substances./end
