Iran President, IMF Chief Meet In NY

Tehran, Sept 25, IRNA – President Hassan Rohani and International Monetary Fund Chief Christine Lagarde held talks Tuesday evening in New York on the sidelines of the 68th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. During the talks, President Rohani hailed the key role of the IMF in management of the world crises. For her part, Ms Lagarde referred to Iran’s influential role in establishment of the fund and underlined the need to solve economic problems in the Middle East region. She further voiced the IMF readiness to cooperate with Iran in various economic fields./end
