Jakarta Index Up

Jakarta, Sept 2 (Antara) - The Jakarta composite index (JCI) closed slightly higher on Tuesday rising 1.71 points or 0.03 percent to 5,179.33 points. The index of 45 most liquid stocks rose 0.05 percent to 880.53 in the first minutes of trading. Meanwhile, the rupiah value in interbank transactions fell slightly to the level of 11,695 per US dollar from earlier level of 11,693 per dollar.
