MCOT-sponsored THAIBEX 2014 set on July 8-11

BANGKOK, March 28 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a most established Thai media firm, will organize the 2nd Thailand Broadcasting Exhibition (THAIBEX 2014) in July. MCOT Vice President Polchai Vinijchaikul told journalists on Friday that MCOT, with the cooperation of media allies, will organize THAIBEX 2014 at the IMPACT Trade and Exhibition Convention Center in Muang Thong Thani on the outskirts of Bangkok from July 8-11. Polchai said the four-day event is aimed to provide both media operators and the public with information on digitization, in response to the transition from analog to digital broadcasting in Thailand, starting from April 2014. As a preparation for the digital TV era in Thailand and for the upcoming THAIBEX 2014, MCOT and media allies will soon organize a seminar-cum-exhibition on digital technology, in which television operators and those in relevant businesses invited to participate. According to the MCOT vice president, the THAIBEX 2014 is expected to draw more than last year’s 64 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors. (TNA)
