No Restrictions On Export Of Goods To Iraq: Official

Tehran, June 17, IRNA – A member of Chamber of Commerce of Ilam province says that all kinds of goods can now be exported to Iraq through Mehran Border in this western province. Jalal-Eddin Mohammadi told IRNA on Tuesday that from now on, all kinds of goods can be exported through Mehran border terminal to neighboring Iraq. Previously, Iraqi officials had refused to let in certain goods but ˈFrom now on there are no restrictions on the export of different kinds of goods through Mehran border,ˈ added Mohammadi. Ilam province shares a 430 km border with Iraq and each day around 800 consignments of different goods worth one billion dollars are exported from Mehran to Iraqi cities./end
