Operators of e-commerce encouraged to develop
BANGKOK, April 6 (TNA) - A free website development as well as training on management and marketing are being offered free of charge to e-commerce operators, aimed at further developing e-commerce business in Thailand, said Vichai Potechanakit, deputy director-general of Commerce Ministry’s Business Development Department.
The free course will run until April 30 and further enquiries can be made at the department headquarters.
According to the National Statistical Office, e-commerce business in the country is valued at more than 768 billion baht and it is projected that the value would climb to over one trillion baht in the next five years while there are opportunities for it to grow universally.
Experts in these fields are invited to provide in-depth information to those participating in the training to enable the operators to further develop their businesses, said Mr.Vichai.
Also, about 15 outstanding and potential websites will be chosen during the training programme for further development, he added. (TNA)
