Russia To Invest In Iran’s Railway Development Projects – Official

Tehran, Dec 9, IRNA – A railway official said here on Sunday that Russia is to make large investments in Iran’s railway development projects. Director General of Railway Organization in charge of investment and international affairs Abbas Nazari added that talks have already been conducted with Russian railway officials to use electrical engines for Garmsar-Gorgan railway line in north of the country. He said the Russian experts are to review and examine the project before signing an agreement in the near future. He also said that Russia is going to cooperate with Iran on the northern Qazvin-Rasht-Astara project. He expressed hope that the project would be implemented in the first half of 2013./end
