Russian businessman urges formation of Iran-Russia market

Tabriz, E Azarbaijan Prov., Nov 18, IRNA – Representative of a Russian trade delegation says based on the experience of countries, formation of a market in Moscow with an aim of developing Tehran-Moscow trade relations is necessary. Shemi Ista, in a meeting with Chairman of Tabriz Chamber of Commerce further remarked that within this framework the role and position of chambers of commerce in the two countries is valuable. He said: “In this respect we are decisive to develop trade cooperation between Russia and Iran and take advantage of the experience of other countries.” He added that development of areas for joint cooperation and welcome of the Iranian side will result in facilitation and acceleration of the process. Meanwhile Rahim Sadeqian, Chairman of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture of Tabriz said cooperation of chambers of Russia and Iran will play a significant role in the development of bilateral relations. Stressing that East Azarbaijan Province enjoys great capabilities in industry and trade fields, Sadeqian said the province due to being located on the route of the Silk Road has been the center of attention of businessmen. He expressed hope that interaction of traders and industrialists of East Azarbaijan with Russia can open the way for cooperation and joint investment. He noted under the status quo opportunities have been provided for the two neighboring countries to have more transactions and neutralize sanctions imposed on them. Referring to Tabriz capabilities in the field of agriculture, tourism and industry, Sadeqian expressed hope that through good cooperation of government officials, chamber of commerce and Ministry of Foreign Affairs grounds will be prepared for using the opportunity for economic development of the two sides./end
