Syria, Iran discuss ways to enhance industrial cooperation

Tehran, IRNA – Syria and Iran discussed cooperation in industrial sector, collaboration to resume joint industrial projects in Syria, and exchange of experiences to achieve their goals. Syrian Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh and Iranian Ambassador in Damascus Mahdi Sobhani met in Damascus on Monday, according to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) During the meeting, Syrian Minister Sabbagh briefed the Iranian ambassador on the latest economic and industrial developments in Syria and the sign of recovery in light of the efforts made to overcome sanctions and economic war imposed on Syria. The Syrian Minister highlighted the country's efforts to reactivate the industrial sector damaged massively during the terrorist war and to provide all the requirements for its recovery through cooperation with friendly and allied countries. For his part, the Iranian ambassador reiterated Iran's position in support for Syria, calling for strengthening cooperation and industrial partnership between the two countries in a fruitful, promising manner.
