Total Solution Centers to be launched at Thailand EEC project
BANGKOK, June 21 (TNA) - The state-run Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) plans to launch the Total Solution Centers (TSCs) at the government-supported Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) by next year to provide comprehensive
consulting services to international investors.
IEAT Governor Veerapong Chaiperm told journalists of the plan on June 20, saying that the first phase of the TSC at EEC will be launched shortly as the pilot project at the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate in Chon Buri Province.
Veerapong noted that the first-phase TSC, also dubbed the Focal Point Service, will initially provide consulting services on promotional programs to international firms eyeing to invest at EEC, covering industrial estates in the eastern Thai provinces of Chacheonsao, Chon Buri and Rayong.
Veerapong revealed that the completed TSCs will be launched by next year at the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate and the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong to provide comprehensive consulting services on promotional programs, application and approval procedures, as well as other relevant consulting
services to international investors.
According to the IEAT chief, the opening of the TSCs is aimed to create confidence in EEC among international firms and to faciliate their investment activities at the one-stop centers.
Besides, the Thai government is amending relevant laws to provide more facilitations to international investors.
The IEAT chief pointed out that Thailand has comparative advantages in quality personnel to serve international firms investing at EEC, which has been established under the government's 4.0 digital economy policy, as well as in a strategic location in the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), where there are up to about 600 million consumers totally with purchasing power.
