Turkish president addresses Turkish-Czech business forum

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish President Abdullah Gul on Tuesday addressed a meeting of the Turkey-Czech Republic Business Forum in the Turkish capital, Ankara. "We are here to add a new momentum to the relations between Turkey and Czech Republic and encourage our businesspeople to boost ties. There are great potentials in our economic relations, and we need to move our traditional cooperation to higher levels in the future," Gul told the forum meeting which was also participated by Czech President Vaclav Klaus. Gul invited Turkish and Czech businesspeople to cooperate in third countries, adding that Turkish businesspeople had strong ties in the Middle East, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Africa. "We have recently adopted a policy to diversify our markets in the world after a series of setbacks in Europe, to where we used to make 60 percent of exports. We have begun by Latin America. And now we have strong relations with Africa and Central Asia," Gul said.    "Czech industry and businesspeople have a respected place in Turkey. And I know that Turkey's dynamism and achievements of the Turkish businesspeople are closely monitored. I am inviting the businesspeople of the two countries to make joint investments."
