Anti-Graft Commission Auctions Confiscated Goods

Jakarta, Nov 12 (Antara) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), here on Wednesday, auctioned 42 goods, which were confiscated from various graft convicts during the past years. "Participants of the auction or their representatives must be present at the auction site and must carry their original identity card," Chairman of the auction committee Darjoto noted here on Wednesday, adding that the auction would be held at the KPK`s office building in Central Jakarta. According to him, those who are interested in buying any of the confiscated goods must hand over a collateral sum of money depending on the type of goods auctioned. Among the auctioned goods are electronic items such as netbooks, laptops, and cellphones of various brands. The goods are priced between Rp75 thousand to Rp1.5 million. "Winner of the auction will have to make the full payment of the auctioned goods not more than five days after the auction," Darjoto explained.
