Azerbaijani Permanent Representative meets African Union Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology

Addis Ababa, August 7, AZERTAC Azerbaijan`s Permanent Representative to African Union Elman Abdullayev has met African Union Commissioner for Human Resources, Science and Technology (HRST) Martial de Paul Ikounga. Mr. Abdullayev highlighted Azerbaijan`s accomplishments, saying it turned into the leading country of the region in terms of science and education. The Ambassador highlighted Azerbaijan`s cooperation with the African countries in the field of education during the Soviet period, adding thousands of Africans graduated from Azerbaijani universities. Mr de Paul Ikounga stressed the importance of improving relations between Azerbaijan and African Union in education. They stressed the necessity of carrying out experience exchange and organizing reciprocal visits for developing cooperation.
