BMA to use para rubber in many construction projects to help para rubber growers
BANGKOK, Jan 17 (TNA) - In an attempt to follow the policy of the government in helping rubber planters who are suffering from sharp decline in rubber prices, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) governor Mom Rajawongse Sukhumbhand Paripatra said the City Hall would use about 2,000 tonnes of rubber in several projects.
He told journalists after inspecting the road surface of Bangkok’s Vajira Benjathat Park, also known as Railway Park, that BMA would use about 2,000 tonnes of para rubber in repairing road surface, children playground and several other Bangkok projects.
A new bicycle lane with the total distance of 3.6 kilometres will be built at Vajira Benjathat Park and the construction costs are estimated at 21 million baht, he said. Construction is scheduled to start next month and takes about a year to complete. (TNA)
