Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant Unaffected By Quake

Tehran, April 10, IRNA -- Earthquake in Kaki city near Bushehr had no impact on the Bushehr nuclear power plant, said executive of the project. Talking to IRNA Tuesday, Mahmoud Jafari added that the quake measuring 6.1 on Richter scale created no problem for the power plant. He further noted that the reason was that the plant is located 150 to 160 kilometers from the epicenter of the quake. A devastating earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale ruined the epicenter, the city of Kaki in Bushehr province on Tuesday. According to seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 16:22 hours local time (1252 GMT)./end
