Carpet Tableau Featuring Islamic Awakening To Be Woven In Tabriz

Tabriz, Jan 1, IRNA – A carpet featuring Islamic Awakening will be woven by artists from Tabriz and Sardrood, a suburb of Tabriz, said Head of Iran’s National Carpet Center Faysal Mardasi. In a meeting with Tabriz Friday Prayer leader Ayatollah Mohsen Mojtahed-Shabestari, he said that the project will be sponsored by the Islamic Human Rights Commission. He further pointed out that the carpet tableau and carpet are considered art and industry in Iran and the precious goods is in fact a cultural envoy of Iran. The carpet tableau will feature emblems of the institutes involved in the project including World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, Iran’s National Carpet Center, Islamic Human Rights Commission and Sardrood Municipality. Mojtahed-Shabestari, for his part, said that the project will promote the current of the Islamic awakening and will make it eternal./end
