BANGKOK, April 10 (TNA) - The United Nations Children’s Funds (UNICEF) has introduced its first two "Friends of UNICEF Thailand", who are wellknown Asian stars, tasked with encouraging the general public to help solve child and youth problems in the country.
An event to introduce the two "Friends of UNICEF Thailand" was held on Tuesday at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok, presided over by the UNICEF representative in Thailand, Bijaya Rajbhandari.
The two "Friends of UNICEF Thailand include Paula Taylor, a top Asian actress, model and presenter, and Nichkhun Horvejkul, a Thailand-born South Korean pop star sensation, who were announced onto the stage amid their exciting crowd of fans.
The main goal of the "Friends of UNICEF Thailand" initiative is to raise public attention to the child and youth problems and to encourage local people to assist the children and youths to provide them with hope and knowledge, through both funding and lending public hands as volunteers. (TNA)
