Int'l Holy Qur’an Exhibition Opens In Tehran

Tehran, July 16, IRNA – The 20th International Exhibition of the Holy Qur’an was inaugurated at the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at Imam Khomeini Prayers Grounds in Tehran on Sunday. The Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini and a number of lawmakers and servants of the Holy Qur’an were present at the exhibition’s opening ceremony. The 18th ceremony for hailing the servants of the Holy Qur’an will also be held at the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. A total of 40 sections are present at this year’s exhibition and foreign publishers will also display their books and cultural products besides Iranian publishers. The true atmosphere of Islamic awakening has been reconstructed in the Islamic awakening section of this year’s exhibition and it provides a spiritual atmosphere at the exhibition. In the Islamic awakening section, the social atmosphere and street events of five Arab nations of Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Bahrain and Palestine have been reconstructed in separate pavilions in order to closely familiarize the visitors with Islamic awakening in these countries. Countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Turkey, Thailand, Myanmar, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo attend the international section of the exhibition./end
