Iran To Unveil World Cup Kit Featuring Asian Cheetah On February 1

Tehran, Jan 26, IRNA – Iranian National football team’s jersey with cheetah logo will be unveiled on February 1. The move follows the world football governing bodyˈs (FIFA) support for Iranˈs national plan to fight extinction of Iranian cheetah by designing a logo depicting the image of cheetah on the Iranian teamˈs jersey in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil in June. Senior officials from Department of Environment and Sports Ministry will be present in the unveiling ceremony. Iranian officials, pleased with Asian Cheetah logo finally finding its way to the world cup, seek to introduce this almost extinct species to the world./end
