Iranian senior diplomat confers with Iraqi PM on bilateral issues

Baghdad, Feb 25, IRNA – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi held talks on Monday with Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi on the latest situation of bilateral cooperation. During the talks, the two sides reviewed ways to optimize bilateral relations. Araqchi and his delegation arrived in the Iraqi capital earlier on Monday. During his stay in Baghdad, the Iranian deputy foreign minister is to take part in the Iran-Iraq joint political commission meeting which is to be co-chaired by Araqchi and his Iraqi counterpart Nazar Al-Khairullah.
