Iraq calls for lifting road-blocks of economic ties with Iran

Baghdad, Feb 6, IRNA – Iraqi President Barham Salih has called for removing obstacles on the way of economic cooperation between Iran and Iraq private sectors. Salih made the remarks in a meeting with Governor of Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Abdolnaser Hemmati on Wednesday. He expressed happiness over the agreements between central banks of Iran and Iraq. During the meeting both sides underlined the latest conditions of economic and monetary exchanges between the two countries. Reinforcing relations in all fields through effective cooperation, namely supporting economic development and creating job opportunities, were among other topics discussed by both sides.
