IRNA Chief Sends Condolences On Demise Of Former Algerian President

Algiers, April 18, IRNA – IRNA chief Ali Akbar Javanfekr sent a message of condolence to the Algerian Information Minister, Nacer Mehal, on the demise of the country’s first president, Ahmed Ben Bella. Javanfekr, who is also an advisor to the Iranian President for Press Affairs, hailed the sacrifices and the combatant spirit of the Algerian Mujahed people who fought against colonial powers. He prayed for the peace of the soul of the deceased former president. The IRNA chief further asked the Algerian minister to convey the condolences of Iran’s press and media community to their colleagues in Algeria. He sent a similar message to the managing director of Algeria’s official news agency on the sad event./end
