Malaysia’s King, Queen to visit Thailand

BANGKOK, August 26 (TNA) - His Majesty Almu’tasimu Billahi Muhibbuddin Tuanku Alhaj Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia XIV, and Her Majesty Tuanku Hajah Haminah Binti Haji Hamidun, The Raja Permaisuri Agong XIV, are scheduled to pay a state visit to Thailand from September 2-5, 2013. The 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and the Queen will be in Thailand as the royal guests of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, after postponing their planned state visit to the Thai Kingdom from 18-21 February, 2013, as advised by royal doctors. His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong earlier paid a state visit to Thailand as royal guests of Their Majesties the King and Queen from February 1-8, 1973 when he served as the fifth King of Malaysia. The upcoming visit to Thailand by the Malaysian Sultan and the Queen shows strong relations and friendship between the two neighboring countries and their people. (TNA)
