National Children’s Day activities organised across Thailand

BANGKOK, January 11 (TNA) - Several state and private-run agencies organised fun-filled activities to entertain children across Thailand on the National Children’s Day 2014, which falls on January 11. MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a most established Thai media firm, for instance, organised a variety of activities at Central World shopping complex in the heart of Bangkok, including modeled television and radio broadcast studios where children are welcome to perform as news anchors and DJs PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), Thailand’s largest petroleum firm, organised National Children's Day activities at its branch office in the capital's Phra Khanong area, including those for both entertaining and educating visiting youths on energy sources and how oil and natural gas is explored, as well as urging children to conserve and consume energy wisely. Government Savings Bank (GSB) also organised National Children’s Day activities at its head office and all its branch offices, including those on encouraging children to love saving money and giving them an opportunity to engage in sports and games. Children who each opened an account with the GSB more than 50 baht on the National Children's Day, from 8:30 am to noon, have received a piggy bank as a gift. (TNA)
