People invited to participate in Royal Coronation of new Thai King

BANGKOK, April 11 (TNA) - The government has invited people from all walks of life to participate in next month's auspicious occasion of the Royal Coronation of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, or King Rama X, of Thailand by wearing yellow clothes and brooches with the Royal Emblem of the present 10th Reign of the Chakri Dynasty in honor of the new monarch. Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam made the invitation publicly in Bangkok on April 10, stating that people are also welcome to be part a mass of well-wishers when His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun appears at a window of the Sutthaisawan Prasat in the compound of the Grand Palace in the capital to extend his Royal Greeting to the public on May 6, one day after the major Royal Coronation ceremony. The Thai deputy premier told journalists that people can also watch the live broadcasts of the government-run TV Pool networks for all ceremonies and events related to the Royal Coronation of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun, set during May 4-6, at their places and buildings, including a rare Royal Visit to areas adjacent to the Grand Palace in the city in a 7-kilometer most gracious land parade joined by units of Royal Guards. "People are also welcome to, again, be part of well-wishers turning out along the 7-kilometer route during the Royal Visit, together with the most gracious and rarely-seen parade", said the Thai prime minister. Besides, there will be spectacular and grand light and sound shows-cum-outdoor theater to welcome the public at the Sanam Luang ceremonial ground near the Grand Palace in the evening of May 6 as part of the nationwide celebrations of the Royal Coronation of the new Thai King. According to the Thai deputy premier, official preparations for the Royal Coronation of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun have been over 90 per cent completed, with the rest 10 per cent set to be completed by April 17.
