Porn websites shut down

BANGKOK, May 12 (TNA) - Thai police shut down over 500 porn and pedophile websites and arrested five suspects of three online networks in April. Deputy Tourist Police chief Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpan said the operation in coordination with anti-human trafficking agencies cracked down on the illegal websites based in the provinces of Samut Prakan, Surat Thani, and Ubon Ratchathani. Pedophile contents posted on the websites were directly involved with child prostitution and illegal sex trade. Investigators will investigate and prosecute operators and programmers of these websites for anti-human trafficking law offenses. Police and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society will further suppress over 100 pedophile websites. (TNA)
