Pyres for cremation flowers, royal crematorium replicas completed

NONTHABURI, Oct 23 – The replicas of the royal crematorium and pyres for cremation flowers have been completely built and rain will have no impacts. Inspecting a royal crematorium replica and related buildings at Wat Bua Khwan, a royally sponsored temple, in Muang district of Nonthaburi province, Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda said the construction of royal crematorium replicas and pyres for cremation flowers under the responsibility of the Interior Ministry was completed. Besides, officials prepared well to cope with possible flooding, so there is not a concern even if it rains on Oct 26, the royal cremation day, he said. Gen Anupong also said that cremation flowers that would be placed at royal crematorium replicas would be properly collected and burnt in their respective provinces under the supervision of provincial governors and district chiefs. The ashes would be used in merit-making ceremonies on Oct 27. (TNA)
