Rescued after 67 hours under debris

ERCIS - 27-year-old teacher Gozde Bahar was rescued in Ercis town of Van thanks to efforts of search & rescue teams. Bahar was taken to Van Training & Research Hospital by an ambulance helicopter. Turkish Prime Ministry Disaster & Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) said that as of 04.00 p.m. on Tuesday, the death toll became 432 while the number of injured people was 1,352, adding that 2,262 buildings were demolished.
Nearly 3,346 search and rescue personnel were dispatched to the region, AFAD said. An earthquake measuring 7.2 on Richter scale shook Van on Sunday.
