Roadside accident kills six Cambodians, injuring 21

BANGKOK, April 29 (TNA) - A pick-up truck carrying Cambodians illegally entering Thailand to find jobs overturned on a highway in Chachoengsao province early on Sunday, killing six of them and injuring 21 others. Police said the accident occurred at 7.25 a.m. when the pickup truck running at high speed hit a tree on the roadside and overturned. The accident happened after the driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel. Police said rescue officials scurried to the scene of the incident, only to find that six people had died and up to 21 were injured. The wounded passengers were later sent to two hospitals for treatment. (TNA)
