Sandalwood trees for cremation ceremony of late King

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Nov 5 (TNA) – Four fragrant sandalwood trees will be cut on Nov 14 to be used in the cremation ceremony of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Prachuap Khiri Khan governor Thawee Narissirikul said officials from the Royal Household Bureau convened a meeting with local authorities and selected four fragrant sandalwood trees in the Kuiburi National Park to be used in the cremation ceremony of the late King. The auspicious time for cutting the trees is scheduled on November 14 at 2.09 pm -2.39pm. Provincial officials will attend the Brahmin worship ceremony to be held one kilometer away from the national park’s office. Only sandalwood trees, which die naturally, were selected to be cut from the forest for use. (TNA)
