Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Receives Commendations on Its Capability in Organizing This Year's Hajj

Riyadh, July 31, 2020, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues, at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that regional and international agencies have commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s capability to organize this year's Hajj in the light of these difficult conditions due to the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic that swept the world, infecting millions of people and claiming lives of hundreds of thousands. The paper added that World Health Organization (WHO) has commended the Saudi Arabia's decision to limit performing Hajj only for citizens and residents living in Saudi lands, in order to maintain the health and safety of external pilgrims from COVID 19. The paper further added that US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia John Abizaid has commended the measures taken by the Saudi government to provide the utmost protection for the pilgrims performing this year's Hajj rituals . The paper concluded that that Saudi Arabia's success in organizing Hajj reaffirms its capability to work under any circumstances, especially if the work is to serve Islam and Muslims. --SPA
