Smog poses health threat in Lampang

LAMPANG, February 9 (TNA) – Thailand’s Pollution Control Department is closely monitoring the air quality in the upper North where smog has begun to pose threat on public health. In Lampang province, dust particles have been measured over 120 micrograms per cubic metre, the standard safety level, for the past three days. Mae Moh district recorded the highest average level of dust particles at 143 micrograms per cubic metres. In Phrae province, dust particles rose to 115 micrograms per cubic metre Sunday while the levels in other northern provinces hovered around 29-73 micrograms per cubic metres.
