Thai Cabinet approves long holiday for New Year celebrations

BANGKOK, October 15 (TNA) - The Thai Cabinet has approved a special long holiday for the upcoming New Year celebrations, aimed mainly to stimulate the domestic tourism. Deputy Government Spokeswoman Sunisa Lertpakawat announced the Cabinet's resolution on Tuesday afternoon, after its weekly meeting earlier in the day. According to the deputy spokesperson, the Cabinet has agreed that the upcoming New Year holiday begins from December 28, 2013 and ends on January 1, 2014, totally five days. (TNA)
